In 2021 my daughter and I rescued a stray mom and her kittens. Puppy was the tiniest one, and my daughter was instantly smitten, so we kept her. She’s an affectionate indoor cat who fills our cozy two‑bedroom apartment with calm and love—always ready for lap cuddles, fresh water, and a soft spot to rest her chin.

Puppy is in need of an urgent right leg amputation. Her leg has stopped working, due to muscle degeneration and lack of blood flow. Over the past week, her quality of life has significantly decreased and we just want her feeling better and to live out all the years she has left. She is being seen by Dr. Volz at The Animal Clinic of Woodland Park.

Puppy is a lively, quirky part of our family. Her favorite spot is on our chests, and she’ll slow motion army crawl up, even nudging our phones aside with her head to get cozy. When she’s not there, she’s sunbathing, laying on her back, resting her chin somewhere soft, or hanging out with our other cat, Paxton.
