Purple is a 12 year old American Shorthair in Chicago, IL, who needs $2,000 for Endoscopy.

This is purple, 16 years ago. She became an unexpected addition to our family. She was just a palm sized kitten with lilac eyes (hence the name) the day we first met. Since that day she has been with me for every adventure and all of life’s challenges and successes. In fact she knows more about me than I do about her. She truly is my best friend I can’t imagine going a day without her.

Purple was recently diagnosed with a tropic cardiomyopathy and is developing something in her throat or sinuses that is making it harder to breathe or even eat everyday. Purple needs a CT scan and an endoscopy ( surgical) procedure to remove the blockage real soon, or she may suffocate due to what’s blocking her airway. It breaks my heart seeing my baby struggle to eat.

Purple has always been the house boss. Well, at least if you ask her. Over the years, she shared our home with Pitbulls and shepherds and cats and reptiles and many other non-human members of our family, and although at times she was the smallest, she was always a big cat on the inside.Now, it pains my heart to see her struggle, when deep down she has the heart of a lion.

The doctors at care animal hospital in Arlington heights are going to do the procedure. But after a long list of diagnostic test and specialist we don’t have the $4000 that is needed to save purple. Please help my baby purple.
