About this campaign
After everything Puti has been through—from the heartbreaking injuries to her nose and snout, to multiple surgeries, and finally, returning to the care of Stray Dog Support's partner sanctuary in Iloilo, Philippines, Paraiso ni Fur Kimay—we wanted to share her latest update.
Over the past few days, we noticed a small wound forming near Puti’s eye. At first, we thought it might just be a minor injury, possibly from bumping into something inside the shelter. However, yesterday we saw pus coming from the wound, which immediately raised concern.
We rushed her to the clinic so the veterinarians could assess her condition. The doctor recommended an X-ray to determine whether the infection might be coming from inside and to check if the braces from her previous surgery had shifted.
As of now, Puti has been confined at the clinic for close monitoring. She is scheduled for a CBC test tomorrow to determine if there is an underlying infection.
The good news is that her X-ray results show that the braces from her previous surgery are still in place and stable. For now, the clinic has treated her wound with a spray, and she remains under observation.
Please continue to keep Puti in your thoughts as she recovers once again. We will keep everyone updated on her condition. Thank you for your continued love and support for this brave little fighter.
