About this campaign
Quincy is a 6 year old pittie mix that we adopted 4 years ago. Quincy is a treat hog! She loves any and all treats that come her way. She was very underweight when we first adopted her because she was a street dog. She has some scars on her back that make us sad for however she started out in this world, but they make us give her that much more love while she shares her life with us.
She is a little timid around strangers but is the star of the show inside the house. She is loyal, loves taking naps with deep snores, and enjoys showing off her favorite crunch bone to everyone that comes over! Shadow the cat has even come to tolerate her; although, he mostly puts up with her because he wants to share her water bowl.
I hate asking for help, and literally never do, but on the heels of the R cruciate surgery, combined with my hours still being cut at work due to COVID, I am currently in a hard place with trying to make this surgery happen for Quincy and figuring out how to pay for it.
Quincy tore her R cruciate during the fall 2020/winter2021 time. She had her repair surgery late Mar 21. Unfortunately, and unexpectedly, she took a fall while trying to jump in bed with me to go to sleep last Saturday (5/2021) and has now torn her L cruciate and needs another repair surgery fairly soon. Dr. Cartagena/Hobart Animal Clinic has confirmed the tear and need for an add'l surgery.
Quincy has been a great addition to our family from the beginning. I have always been a cat person, but she has turned out to be the best friend I never knew I needed. She is always by my side, whether I want her there or not. Even when I clean the house, she walks back-n-forth with 500x and stares at me like "are we done yet?"
