We’re incredibly relieved to share that Radha is recovering remarkably well after the horrific attack that nearly took her life.
The trauma to her head was extensive, and Radha ultimately required multiple surgeries to repair injuries to her skull, jaw, and eyes. Her procedures were successful, but given the severity of her injuries, the weeks that followed required intensive post-operative care and close monitoring.
Her recovery became even more difficult when Radha developed pneumonia, adding another serious battle for her tiny body to fight. But this brave girl continued to surprise us with her strength and has made incredible progress. ❤️
Today, Radha can still see from one eye, although she will remain partially blind for life. She also still has a wire supporting her jaw while the bones heal and remain properly aligned. If everything continues to heal as expected, it will be removed in the coming months.
Perhaps what amazes us most is Radha herself. Despite experiencing unimaginable cruelty at only three months old, she remains incredibly friendly, affectionate, and trusting of people. After everything humanity showed her at the beginning of her life, she has somehow chosen to trust us again.
Radha still has healing ahead of her, but she has already come farther than we could have imagined when we first found her. Thank you to everyone who donated, shared her story, and helped give this little fighter the chance to survive. 🐾❤️

She has only been in this world for three months, yet she's already endured unimaginable cruelty.
Someone repeatedly struck this tiny puppy in the head with what veterinarians believe was a heavy metal object, causing catastrophic trauma. The force of the blows were so severe that her eyes were displaced from their sockets. A compassionate local found her and contacted Pawsitive Sanctuary immediately, and they rushed to get her the emergency care she desperately needed.
When their rescue team arrived, they weren't sure she would make it. She cried constantly, shook her head in confusion, and struggled to walk, unable to understand the pain she had been forced to endure. Watching such a young puppy fight through that kind of suffering was heartbreaking. Leaving her behind was never an option.
Veterinarians believe her injuries are consistent with repeated blows from an object such as a metal pipe. The trauma to her skull is extensive, and she now faces a long, difficult road to recovery. Despite everything she's been through, she's still fighting, and so are her caretakers.
As they searched for more information about what happened, they learned that approximately three months ago, another puppy believed to be from the same litter or family died after sustaining nearly identical injuries in the same area. They cannot confirm the cases are connected, but the possibility is frightening. Their team is working closely with local residents to gather information while doing everything possible to save this little girl's life.
She has been stabilized, but her journey is only beginning. She will require multiple surgeries to repair the devastating injuries to her head and eyes, followed by extensive medical care and rehabilitation. The cost of treatment will be overwhelming, but they're committed to giving her every chance at the future she deserves.

Radha’s journey has been a heartbreaking yet incredibly inspiring testament to the will to live. She came to us after suffering unimaginable cruelty, facing life threatening trauma to her head and face that left her fighting for her very survival.
The severity of her injuries plunged her into a coma. Her prognosis was heartbreakingly grim, and we held our breath through every uncertain hour.Even placing a feeding tube had become a complicated and high-risk decision because of her condition. We rushed her to Chandigarh, where her prolonged treatment continued. Day and night, we fought alongside her.
Slowly, the fluid around her lungs began to resolve. Her chest X-rays cleared, and we intensified treatment for her brain injury.When she finally awoke, she was met with a new, terrifying hurdle: a severe infection and pneumonia. Fluid surrounded her lungs, making every single breath a desperate struggle.
Frail, exhausted, and unable to eat, Radha was fading before our eyes. We rushed her into specialized care, staying by her side day and night, refusing to give up on her.
Slowly, miraculously, the tide began to turn. Her lungs began to clear, her chest X-rays improved, and we could finally focus all our efforts on healing her severe neurological injuries.
Today, Radha is showing us what true resilience looks like. Her reflexes are improving. She reacts to the sounds of other dogs, she recognizes her own name, and, most joyfully, she has rediscovered her appetite and is eating on her own again. Her infection markers have dropped significantly, and she continues to receive the intensive immunotherapy, nutritional support, and medical care she needs.
Radha’s story is a powerful reminder that healing is never just about mending a single wound. It is about healing the body, the mind, and the spirit all at once.
She still has a long road to recovery ahead of her, but every small milestone she reaches is a triumphant victory over pain and hopelessness.
