About this campaign
I adopted Rain from the Brightside Dog Shelter in Redmond, Oregon, two months ago. She’s a rescue dog. Her litter was affected by Parvo, but luckily, the entire litter survived. Although Rain hasn’t been a part of our family for very long, she’s become an integral part of it. She currently has two other siblings: a seven-year-old Catahoula, Australian Shepherd mix named Nala, and pixie, 9 weeks.
Rain is experiencing sudden and severe medical issues that may be chronic or even life-threatening. Our playful puppy became withdrawn and obvious pain overnight. We don’t know the cause, but she urgently needs veterinary care. Her symptoms include hair loss, mucousy, diarrhea, mucousy vomiting, exhaustion, trembling, labored breathing, loss of appetite, and reduced water intake. Cinderock vet.
Rain is a bit shy around big dogs at first, but once she’s comfortable, she becomes super playful and affectionate. She loves getting attention and is over the moon when you come home. The only thing that scares her is fire. She has some triggers from her past because she and her best friend Luna were in a fire, and sadly, we lost Luna. But she survived, so we’re so lucky to have her in our family
Losing Luna in the fire was a tough time, and rain has become a big part of our family. It’s a reminder of what we’ve been through, but it’s also a blessing to have her in our lives. Every day with her makes life so much easier. I don’t know what I would do without her.
