Rain is a 14 year old Paint Horse in Reno, NV, who needs $4,000 for Arthroscopy/Single Joint Surgery.

I have decided to ask for help! This is extremely hard for me, but it’s for my horse Rain. I have had her since she was 2yrs old and now she is 14. She has been an amazing friend and has gotten me through some hard times

She started NWB on her front left leg. We had an amazing vet Dr Tanya from Sierra Valley Large Animal Veterinary Services out on August 12th. She did an X-ray and gave Rain pain management and bandaged her leg. She found an abnormal bone growth in her stifle. She did ultrasound and a steroid injection into that area. It has been determined that she needs surgery to be able to live a pain-free life

Rain is just a big, gentle, loving horse. She loves attention and scratches. She is playful and so beautiful. She was a little wild as a baby and I will admit took a lot of time to gentle and train. But she was SO worth it. She is amazing and I wish everyone had the chance to meet her!

I am just a single mom trying my best. I just got my dog through cancer surgery earlier this year. Now I have spent about $2,000 on Rain and surgery will be another $4,000. I unfortunately don’t have it, but I don’t want her to suffer for my lack of financial independence.
