Rainbow, a Ridgeback, was found on Facebook (looking for a home for her and sibs found in a cardboard box) and became my fur baby. She symbolizes hope after my miscarriages. She had a litter of seven puppies with which I couldn't part. Despite financial strain, they bring immense joy to my disabled husband and me. Rainbow is my love, my dogter, my best friend. Rainbow is only 9 years old.

My baby Rainbow has a concerning mass in one of her right-sided breasts. Vets at Church Hill Vet Hospital have estimated surgery costs at $1,053.36 as of August 17, 2024—removal of the mass to determine its nature & next steps. I'm worried about the possibility of cancer & the recent leakage from her nipple. I can't bear to see her in pain & will do what it takes to get her vital surgery.

Rainbow is a friendly indoor dog who loves playing with other animals & her nieces. She has a unique twist on fetch. Rainbow's playful nature extends to swimming, snow frolicking, & hiking trails. She has her own area by a creek known as "Rainbow's Park," & she is protective of her family. She loves to sing (howl) with her pups & snuggling, & stuffed animals. Her nieces spoil her, and vice-versa.
