About this campaign

Hello, I adopted Raisa from a rescue shelter in Portland. She was saved while living on the streets of Mexico. I suffer from anxiety /depression and Raisa is truly my emotional support dog. I live paycheck to paycheck like alot of people, so Raisa's emergency vet bill is struggle for me.

I have been sick and my partner is out of town as her grandmother just passed away. While I was sleeping, Raisa got into some chocolate chip, medicated cookies I had made (even though the kitchen blocked off & cookies in container on the counter). I woke up to her non responsive, called the pet hotline and they advised taking her to vet immediately. She is currently at Tanasbourne Vet Emergency.

Raisa is a joy. She loves long walks. She loves to hang out with my partner's "chubby" cat. They are best buddies when we are away at work. She is sweet dog even though she had a rough life in Mexico as a puppy.

As I already noted, I live pay check to pay check. I am transgender and have significant mental trauma from trying to fit in over the years, most people don't understand. Raisa is a best friend, she provides unconditional love everyday. I need and want her in my life.
