About this campaign
I never thought I would be writing something like this.
Our sweet Raisin — who started out as the tiniest little “raisin” of a kitten — is fighting for her life.
We took her to the vet for what we thought was just a sore on her leg. Instead, we were told the words no pet parent ever wants to hear: cancer. The cancer has spread into her knee and muscle mass, and the only way to save her is to amputate her leg. As devastating as that sounds, the vet truly believes that if we amputate, they can get clean margins and remove the cancer completely.
She has been there for our family through so many highs and lows. She’s more than a pet. She’s comfort, she’s love, she’s family. She is our best friend.
As a single mom, I am doing everything I can. I was approved for Care Credit, but it doesn’t cover the full amount. I don’t like asking for help — this is incredibly hard for me to post — but Raisin deserves a chance to live.
