About this campaign

Rangeley came into my life as a kitten and quickly became part of the heart of my home. He is now just over a year old and has grown into a gentle, affectionate presence. Rangeley has a special bond with me, one that I’ve never shared with another pet. This sweet boy will follow me from room to room and he has been my constant companion since the day he arrived.

Rangeley was rushed to Crown Veterinary Specialists in Lebanon, New Jersey, after becoming lethargic, refusing food, and showing signs of abdominal distress. Imaging showed severe abdominal gas and concern for a possible intestinal obstruction or torsion. He required emergency hospitalization, IV fluids, pain management, and is likely facing urgent surgery.

Rangeley is affectionate, intuitive, and deeply bonded to my granddaughter and myself. He seeks out closeness, curls up beside me when I’m upset, and has a calm, comforting presence. He loves to play, he knocks everything off of any counter he can reach, He loves the window perches, and being near people. He is just a year old, full of life, love and brings warmth and joy to my home every day.

This emergency came without warning, and the cost of care has been overwhelming.
The estimate for Rangeley’s treatment is $7,637.59–$11,635.95, and I’ve been told that surgery is very likely, placing his care toward the upper end of that range. My heart hurts.
