About this campaign
Hi, my name is Lisa and I am fundraising for my three-year old labrador/pitbull mix. While all his other brothers and sisters were adopted and later returned, we did not want to give up on Ranger and instead chose to keep him, train him, and give him the life he deserves. We have enjoyed raising Ranger from a puppy.
He is a sweet boy, who spends his days exploring his backyard, playing with all types of dog toys, and cuddling with his stuffed billy goat. He is kind to everyone he comes into contact with-- from small children, to adults, to other dogs. He is a very non-aggressive and shy dog. He also loves to cuddle with his humans every chance he gets.
Ranger loves to play with balls of all size, but his favorite one is a large red ball. He chases it up and down the driveway multiple times a day. While he lives in Utah, he dislikes the cold and wears knitted sweaters in the winter to stay warm. He is a sweet and kind boy, who looks intimidating but has a heart of gold.
He needs surgery on his ACL which is partially torn. Unfortunately, the vet said his ACL will not repair itself and he needs surgery to repair it so he can continue to live a life of mobility and freedom. Ranger's ACL is genetically defective but with surgery, he can retain the mobility he once enjoyed.
We are actively saving to fund Ranger's surgery, but we are also retired seniors on a fixed income without the ability to quickly fund this surgery. And without funding this campaign quickly, Ranger's ACL will continue to deteriorate.
