About this campaign

Raven entered my life as a surprise gift for me and my brother by our late mother. He was rescued at 10 months and has been apart of our family for 10 years. While my mother was his heart, my brother is his best friend. I am the one who spoils him though. But the day we rescued Raven was the day that he formed a deep inseparable bond with our family that went to a spiritual level for us.

It was my mother and Raven who shared this type of bond the strongest. She was diagnosed with heart failure and diabetes sometime after we had rescued him. But as her condition became worse, without any training, command, or schooling in being a service animal, he acted just like one as he saw fit. His main way of doing this was following her when she fell low on sugar or make sure she didn't fall

I want to do everything I can to save him. He still plays like a little two-year-old puppy and I want him to do so for more years to come, but I need financial help.

Over time I noticed a few bumps on parts of his body. These of which were confirmed to be a Mast Cell Tumor by his vet. While it has not spread to the rest of his body, and can be removed, when I was told of the price for treatment, I knew that I did not have the money. The money is to remove the tumors from him and give him a better survival rate.

Throughout the years Raven and I have become attached to the hip. He has formed the same bond with me as he did with my mother. He smiles at me the same way he did to her. He snuggles next to me during storms because he's terrified of them. His favorite game is chasing a laser pointer for hours on end, and will tap my lap and point to it until I bring it out to play.
