About this campaign
My sweet FIV+ cat of 18 years, Hopey, passed away this summer. She had cared for me as much as I cared for her, comforting me through a difficult pregnancy. Her death left a great emptiness in our family. Our new sweet kitty, Raven, came into our lives a few months later and has become a loving addition to our home bringing her sweet kitty chirps and purrs to fill our hearts once again.
Raven quickly settled right in and takes turns between all three bedrooms at night loving on her humans. She also enjoys playing with our two dogs, but she has definitely established that although she is the smallest and youngest, she is the alpha!
All pets are special to their families. Raven filled an emptiness for my 7 year old, 5 year old and myself upon the passing of our 18 year old, Hope. So a sense she gave us a little “Hope” back, as she looks like a miniature version of Hope.
Raven climbed up into our electric recliner without our knowing. Tragically and traumatically, she got caught inside as the motor reclined causing her to get stuck. Her tail became locked into the gears and needs to be amputated. Any support or small donations for this expensive surgery during the holiday season would be a blessing.
This scary injury occurred at a difficult time of year. We feel
guilty and devastated for such a painful experience and the amputation needed. The surgery and other expenses were unexpected.
