Hi, I'm Nicole and I love dogs. I have 2 of my own and didn't plan on taking in another. Well, things changed, and as fate may have it I took in a 6-week-old German Shepard puppy about a week ago. A breeder was going to have her euthanized because her rear back leg was broken, he said the mother dog stepped on it when she was born.

I drove over an hour away to go rescue her. I didn't think a puppy should be put down because of a broken leg. She is not in any pain it seems, but it is broken. I'm a single mother with 2 kids and 2 older dogs of my own and she fits right into our family. Everyone loves her. She now has a home here with us and a family of her own. As everything is on the rise so are vets these days.
