About this campaign
Ravi short for ravioli, came into our lives late Sept 2017 after he was thrown out of the back of someone’s suv onto our property. This was a recurring issue as we had a barn across the street and some people are just cruel. We had several black cats abandoned on our property so we started naming them after pasta, hence how Ravi got his name. He now lives with one other rescued fur baby, Milk!
Ravi was recently diagnosed with hyperthyroidism which he now takes meds daily to control. One of the main symptoms that triggered a vet visit was constant vomiting of digested and undigested food. Dr. McKenna at Country Lane Veterinary is perplexed at why Ravi is still throwing up since regulating his thyroid levels and changing his diet. Our next step is an X-ray and ultrasound on April 29th.
Ravi tends to keep to himself in regards to interacting with other cats. He has a ferret brother Juju who he tolerates and shares the home with Milk, who was also a rescued bottle baby back in 2017. Ravi loves his catnip banana and highly enjoys getting his scratch on in his domed scratcher! He cries and hides during thunderstorms but enjoys walks outside on his harness! He’s a big momma’s boy!!
I’m a ft college student with very limited work hours and have depleted savings to cover vet visits/meds so far. I just want my boy to be able to keep his food down, be that happy chatty boy again! Now with $750-850 estimated for just the X-ray/ultrasound, I’m in panic mode!
