Rebel Dixon Kidwell is a 7-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier Mix in Valrico, FL, who needs $1,500 for Eyelid Mass Removal and Biopsy.

Rebel was adopted into our family 5 years ago and it was the greatest decision we ever made. He has become not only a great pet but also a member of the family. He lives with his Mommy (Me), his ga'mommy (My Mom), His Coconut (My Brother), His Mema (My Grandmother) and his little sister (Xena, our other dog).

Rebel loves to go outside and bark at any and everything. For the first 3 years of being in our home, Rebel never made a sound. He never barked, growled, whined, nothing. But when he found his voice he made sure we all knew it. He also loves to chase lizards, we live in Florida so they are EVERYWHERE. He also LOOOOOOVES belly rubs. If he could get belly rubs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week he would.

Rebel is not so much a fan of water. We joke that he's a Mr. Priss because if he goes outside and even 1 drop of water hits him, he runs to the door as fast as he can to get out it, almost like he's the Wicked Witch of the West. He also really like to play with tennis balls, and by play I mean he likes to peel them like an orange. He also will tuck himself into bed at night precisely at 10pm.

Rebel was diagnosed with Stage 2 Mast Cell Tumor Cancer back in October 2020 and he had to undergo surgery to remove 2 tumors, one in his chest and one on his scrotum. In September of 2021 he was diagnosed with state 1 Kidney Disease and it was also found that he had a mass on his left eyelid that is rubbing against his eye. He is being treated by The Veterinary Center at Fishhawk in Lithia, FL.

I was recently diagnosed with health issues that resulted in me being out of work for 8 months, I have started a new job but between catching up on bill and paying for Rebels recent medical care, money is extremely tight.
