Rebel is a two year old Great Dane. She is the most AMAZING companion anyone could ask for. We came together when she was a puppy and ended up at the emergency vet less than 24 hours of bringing her into her new home. Since then, she's had so many vet visits, she's is now know as my "lemon dog". She has a much older, much smaller canine brother she loves to torment every day!

Rebel is our goofy, ornery, social, loving, 130 pound ball of energy. She has canine friends that visit often for play dates. She loves to go on her daily walks, visit the neighbors, swim, run, jump, and get the zoomies on the bed as soon as I make it. She loves car rides and making people smile when they see her big ole head sitting like a human in the seat.

Rebel thoroughly enjoys suffocating people with her slimy kisses. She'll make sure you wake up giggling when she delivers her good morning body slam. I've always heard if a Great Dane fits, they sits. Well, it's true ! Face, back, lap, shell figure out a way to sit by you. She will not drink out of a water dish that has previously been used and prefers to drink from the bath tub faucet.

About 6 weeks ago all of the sudden she couldn't get up or walk unassisted. We suspect it happened while she was playing outside. Our family vet referred us to Stauffer Veterinary Hospital, Dr. Stauffer who took x-rays and diagnosed her with two torn ACLs and recommended surgery on both knees. Shes in pain and has limited movement. Surgery is the only option for her recovery.

We've had a tough year. All of our expenses have gone up. but not our income. Furnace, A/C, taxes, medical bills, dental bills, vet bills, etc. We have no savings. CareCredit declined. Rebel is a huge part of our family and we need her to keep us smiling.
