Recon is a 7-month-old Malinois in Satsuma , FL, who needs $2,000 for Hip Dysplasia Surgeries.

Recon was adopted from SAFE in Putnam County by my mother the end of May. It was said that a man found Recon wandering in his front door into the man's kitchen. How cute is that right!!Then this guy brought Recon to SAFE for someone to adopt. Recon has a big brother named Ranger that was also adopted from SAFE. They have a big yard they play in but they live in the inside the house.

Recon love's playing with Ranger and his favorite thing is to cool off in his kiddi pool. His favorite toy's are the squeakest toys. Me and Recon have this game we play we see who can get my shoes first Lol He wins most of the time. Recon sleeps with my mother mostly but sometimes with me. He likes it cool with a light fan blowing. He also has to sleep right up next to you with a pillow lol 😂.

Recon was love at first sight. I've been through trauma and Recon helps me out so much with my PTSD. Even in the short time he's been in my life he's made such a difference in me. My mental health has improved he helps me cope and not be so depressed anymore. I couldn't amagine a world without him. Everyone that meets him love's him.Recon puts out so much positivity and love.

Recon was recently diagnosed with Hip Dysplasia. I can't stand seeing him hurt.Recons vet referred him to UF small animal hospital in Gainesville FL. Dr Ray said since he's still young he has more options available to him now before his growth plates are fully grown. We found out that he will be needing a total hip replacement but first he will be needing surgery on his elbows then when the elbows heal he will have one hip replaced every 6 weeks so that each o e has time to heal. The first surgery on his elbows is scheduled for December 8th.

I currently work at SAFE part time the same shelter Recon came from. I was in the process of getting him pet insurance but it was too late. The thing is Recons vet said he's going to need the surgery a ASAP before he's fully grown. I have some money saved but not enough.
