Red Was Nearly Mauled to Death!

Officers from the Florence Lauderdale Animal Shelter were called to a property about a dog attacked by other dogs. They were disgusted when they found Red!

"He did not receive any medical attention," Cheryl J., with the shelter, tells Waggle. "He was dehydrated and suffering from malnourishment because of the lack of care. Some of his wounds are horrific."

Red now needs round-the-clock IV fluids, antibiotics, and hospitalization. He may lose one of his ears.

"Bullies are so stoic when it comes to pain, and this must be excruciating," Cheryl says. "But he hasn't tried to nip or growl. He is the sweetest-natured dog. We also think he's thankful to be out of a horrible situation."

The Florence Lauderdale Animal Shelter is a municipal facility and can't afford Red's extensive medical care and veterinary bills, but with your help, he can get the second chance he deserves!
