About this campaign
Reese was a puppy we had rescued when only a few months old from TLC. Her name was chosen because of her coloring and our love for Reese peanut butter cups. We had originally been told that Reese was a Shepherd mix and after having puppy DNA found her to be Beagle/Chow Chow mix. She is a sweet loving bundle of energy.
Reese is my youngest daughter's favorite person so to speak. As soon as we brought Reese home there was no doubt who was chosen to be her person. The bond these two share is incredible to watch. They are two peas in a pod and never far from each other. We also have 2 other dogs and found Reese to be the most loving and dedicated puppy.
I had been out of work for 8 weeks to take care of my father who was on hospice. Not knowing that what I thought was approved to be paid 100 percent was only for 4 weeks. I have already spent well over a thousand so far on treatment on our puppy. Plus her special food.
After getting a second consultation with an animal hospital, Reese was diagnosed with some very large bladder stones. After spending several hundred on 2 doctors visits , blood test, x-rays it was obvious Reese needed surgery. We went today for surgery only to find out Reese was too sick for surgery and needed to be on an antibiotic and meds to control her 104.7 fever.
Reese, when we leave and come home, will proudly bark and announce our arrival with a smile. I never knew a dog could smile but she lights up whenever we walk back in the door, especially with my youngest daughter. She also loves to sit on my daughter's lap. She definitely gives truth to the name lap dog.
