Reesey is an 8-year-old mixed breed in Elmsford, NY, who needs $2,000 for Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy (TPLO) surgery.

Eight years ago we adopted a rescue pup. It took us a while to figure out what we would call her but since she was the creamy color of peanut butter we decided on Reesey, a play on Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. It didn’t take long at all for her to fit right into the family . I wouldn’t trade her for any other dog in the world.

Reesey is my three year old daughter’s best friend and protector. At times she a laid back dog that will lay around and chill with the family but when she gets her energy she tries to keep up with her “sissy”. She loves getting pets and rubs from her human sister and of course the extra snacks that drop on the floor are her favorite.

Because of a recent major expense we do need a little help with the cost. Due to weather issues we needed to get a new roof which was a little more then we anticipated.

Reesey needs TPLO surgery. She has been having an issue with her leg for months now. She’s not able to sit comfortably therefore she always has to lay down. We try to keep her from being active so that she doesn’t injure her leg more, which hard for a dog. We want to get the surgery done by Dr. Raske at the Animal Speciality Center.

Even though Reesey is getting older she is a pup at heart. Her “personality” is what we love about her. She’s a cuddler, a protector and just an all around easy going dog. She gets along well with other dogs and loves to wrestle. Of course her favorite treat to indulge in is peanut butter.
