About this campaign
Remington lives in our home in North Carolina with our family, including my husband, our son, and our two other dogs. He is fully integrated into our daily routines and primarily indoors. He is well cared for, up to date on veterinary care, and has been a healthy dog prior to this unexpected medical emergency. He also serves as a service dog in our home.
Remington had a sudden medical emergency on March 29th with severe swelling, fever, and a ruptured wound. He was hospitalized for nearly a week at Carolina Veterinary Specialists – Huntersville, where over 1L of fluid was drained. He is now home but requires frequent return visits for ongoing wound care. Prognosis is good with continued treatment.
Remington is calm, loving, and deeply connected to our family. He is especially bonded to our son and brings a steady presence to our home. He loves mellow runs through the woods and playing with Mitra and Copper (on his terms). He has a soft spot for cheese and enjoys basking in the sun, always happiest close to us.
While we both work full time, my job requires travel to and from Colorado, and my husband has a 60-mile daily commute. We also help support additional family needs. Having Remington healthy again would mean stability and comfort for our family.
