Remy is a 12 year old Mix-Breed in Fort Myers, FL, who needs $2,000 for Anal Sac Tumor Removal.

Remy is my twelve year old cavalier king charles and cocker spaniel mixed dog. I guess they call that a Cockalier! He has been with me since he was about 16 weeks old, rescued a from a shelter.
I was a traveling nurse for all of his life So he really has not had any stability.. The only thing constant in his life was his Cavalier sister Ruby and me. Ruby died today 3/27 and we are devastated.

While we were preparing for his sister's death, we found out that he had a tumor in his anal gland. The vet is very confident that it is adenocarcinoma. We have tried med options. Now she wants to send him to the surgeon. The surgery is removal of his anal gland however, they want to do CT scan checking for metastasis.
I can't lose 2 dogs this year!! But I cannot afford CT scans and surgery.

The vet says his age is not an issue and he is actually very active. He is slightly depressed right now because of the loss of his sister. My husband and I are doing everything to make him happy. He likes to play with our parrot Ava. He is gentle and kind, but he loves to talk!! His little nub of a tail wags happily with any interaction from people. Life would be empty without him And his antics!

I quit traveling to work full-time at a Children's hospital, buy a home, and get married. Relocating was expensive and The jobs just don't pay well. Hurricane Ian affected us on their first year and now our taxes went up 3500 dollars making my mortgage huge unexpectedly.
