Remy is an 11-year-old Morkie-Maltese-Yorkie Mix in Sunnyvale, CA, who needs $1,700 for Soft Tissue-Mass Removal.

Little Miss Remy came into our lives 10 years ago. We got her from a breeder and chose her because she was so feisty and loved the HUGE eyebrows. I bought Remy for my daughter who has since moved away-and left Remy and her other dog Ginger to live with me and my two Cockatiels. I live in a zoo! Remy has really gotten attached to me and won’t let me out of her sight, especially now during COVID.

Remy has toys that you fill with treats and she’s learned that she doesn’t need to work to get the treats out-all she has to do is just drop the toy in my lap and stare at me until I do it for her. Such a Smarty pants. We’ve really bonded, especially since she sleeps with me. She’s a big bed hog and sleeps upside down with her legs in the air. It’s really cute, but not very lady like. She’s so funny.

Remy now has a tumor under her paw that has to be surgicalIy removed ASAP at Sage hospital. She may need her toes amputated if we wait since the tumor’s growing. This came on suddenly and I don’t have all the money. She’s my family and I can’t let her suffer by waiting.

Remy has had a lot of medical issues and many surgeries in her lifetime: 2 ACL tears, broken teeth removed (in just the last few months), etc. She has Cushings, some liver issues, severe arthritis and a long list of allergies. She’s on a special diet and medications that help some. Ginger also has a long list of medical issues. Poor babies! Getting old sucks! They’re a lot of work, but worth it.

She really loves her sister Ginger and won’t go on a walk or car ride without her. She’ s a very submissive and timid dog and scares easily. She really hates motorcycles and runs to me and jumps in my arms whenever she hears one-like a human baby. I really think she thinks she’s a human baby. She’s a tiny thing, but she has this weird gruffy bark. It’s so cute to hear that bark come out of her.
