Check out Reuben's incredible rescue story!

This little guy was found by a good samaritan at the intersection of Nyes Rd & Locust Ln, hunkered down, scared to death! When the person got out to try to direct traffic and grab this floof ball, he ran up under his engine block!

Thankfully, he was able to get pulled over to safety, get him into a box, and then contacted us to see if we were able to get him!

Upon initial assessment, Castaway Critters found that:

• He is not microchipped
• He is covered in some type of black, sticky substance resembling diesel fuel or tar.
• He smells horrible.
• He is extremely friendly and grateful and wants to just eat and calm himself in a safe space!

They are treating him for fleas, worms, and ear mites and will be monitoring him during his quarantine. We will be working on getting the sticky out of his fur and giving him a good bath!
