Rex is a 11-year-old Dachshund in NORWALK, CA, who needs $971 for Mass removal and dental scaling.

I bought Rex off some lady online when he was 3-4 months old. The lady's child had allergies and could not keep Rex. He has been a part of our family ever since and we love him so much. Rex is a purebred long hair dachshund, who loves being the center of attention. Due to the global pandemic, I lost my job and it has been difficult to provide for my family and our dog Rex.

Rex loves running around and howls and growls to get your attention, he is a character. Spring and summertime are his favorites because that means the kiddie pool is out and he loves to get wet and tries to bite the water coming out of the hose. He also enjoys playing with my kids and roll around on the grass.

Due to the global pandemic, I lost my job and just recently I began to work, however, due to having been unemployed for some time, there are other expenses that are a priority and I cannot afford to cover the cost of Rex's procedure.

In mid-July 2021, I noticed a bump on Rex's rump. I immediately took him to a local vet Santa Fe Animal H. diagnosed it as a possible fat deposit or nonmalignant tumor. The vet advised having it removed as it would continue to grow. I took him to a second doctor, Huntington Pet Vet who aspirated and analyzed it and advised me to have it removed as it had fluid and would be dangerous if it burst.

There is no toy that Rex is unable to destroy. He enjoys gutting all toys with a squeaker and does not stop until all the stuffing is out and the toy can no longer squeak. Something Rex does that gets a kick out of everyone that has met him is that whenever you sit, he will put his chest right up on your foot and rub his chest on it.
