About this campaign
Ricky is a rescue my husband and I added to our family in April of 2020. He is the most cuddly, sweet, talkative addition. We have another rescue cat named Phil. Phil and Rick play and wrestle like brothers. They also cuddle. Rick also cuddles with us every night and usually doesn’t want to wake up when my alarm goes off. Rick is so young and has so much life to live yet! We love him so much.
Rick is playful and cuddly and sweet. He follows you around and watches your feet to see you where you are headed next. He will always greet you at the door with a sweet rub against your leg and a purr. He is the best greeter to come home to. Rick is so talkative and will chirp and meow a full kitty conversation with you.
Ricks meow is my favorite. It is not an average cat meow. He makes the most eye contact I have ever seen from a pet. It feels as though he is really listening and talking directly to you. He loves sneaking up and pouncing on his favorite toys, including his stuffed opossum. He loved sitting in the window sill, waiting for me to come home.
Rick went to the Red River emergency vet (Fargo, ND) after 12 hours of throwing up all food and water. We currently owe $1,582 for the x-rays, blood work, vet stay, pain meds and IV fluids. He was scared and laying down sporadically in odd spots trying to get comfortable before taking him in. He is so sweet and it’s so sad to know he is in pain. The vet may need more X-rays and an ultrasound.
We are new home owners of an older house that has just had $5,000+ expenses. After our down payment and this expense, we do not have a lot of money for unexpected major expenses. It would mean the entire world for the guaranteed care for Ricky. He is so young.
