About this campaign

I rescued Ricky when he was sent with his siblings and parents to the shelter because their owners passed away from Covid-19. I was only able to only rescue Ricky but wish I could've saved them all. He is now permanently living in safe, loving, happy, and caring household. I work part time to provide for his needs.

Ricky is a very loving, friendly puppy who loves to play with everyone he sees. He is also very friendly with other animals. For instance, he loves to play with our three other cats at home. Ricky hates being in his cage; he prefers to be out in other people's business. He hates being alone and loves people. Ricky loves to sleep with me on my bed with his stuffed bear.

Ricky is the only one that fills me up with joy and excitement. Like when I come home from school or work, he jumps up a covers me with kisses. Whenever I'm with Ricky he makes me forget about all the thing that I have been through in my short life. He is very special to me because he doesn't let me feel alone.

Ricky is an 11 week old puppy. I don't know much about his medical history. He had his first visit with his veterinarian and got his fist shots. Ricky is taking Metacam for pain relief. We were playing fetch with Ricky in the front yard and he ran to the sidewalk. A kid accidentally hit him in the back with his bike and broke his leg.

Ricky needs surgery on his back left leg. The veterinarian told me that the surgery is around $3000 to $5000, depending on his condition. I'm a high school student working part-time making $180 a week. I don't live with my parents. They got divorced and left me behind. Please help!
