Riesling is a 6-month-old Blue Heeler in Idaho Falls, ID, who needs $2,000 for Blood Transfusions, Hospital Stays & Medication.

On a search for hay for the other animals on my mini farm, I fell in love with this beautiful little girl, I named Riesling! She came home with me at 6 weeks old. We have had so much fun these last 6 months. She’s one of four special girls. Zinfandel, an 8 year old Border Collie. Cabernet, a one and a half year old Border Collie. And last but not least, Chateau who’s also 6 months old.

Riesling is part of the family, so she shares my bed. Due to her short legs, I assist her onto the bed when its bedtime. During the day she can be found in my garden picking flowers or tomatoes. When weather permits she likes to spend time in her swimming pool. Her favorite toys are the small cat toys. She loves her all natural heart shaped puppy treats.

Riesling is fearless. She enjoys herding our 5 spayed girl & 2 neutered boy cats named, Hay Hat, Teensi One, Little Lioness, Cute Boy, Yellow, Crazy Good & Sissy. She doesn’t pay much mind to our horse Buzz, nor our donkey Bandit. Our two crazy goats, Get Get don’t keep her attention much either. With her short legs, round belly and littles snorts she may be mistaken for a little piggy some days.

Riesling was treated at the emergency clinic in IdahoFalls. She has been diagnosed with Hemolytic Anemia, a disorder in which red blood cells are destroyed faster than they can be made. She’s currently critical. She has received 4 blood transfusion. Veterinarian now has added a medication in hopes to bring her red blood vessels to state of regeneration.

The cost of her emergency care has put a large strain on us financially. I will do everything in my power to take care of my pets. They are my family, my children. If there is any glimmer of hope, I will continue to fight for Riesling and her safe return home.
