Riley is a 8-year-old Beagle Mixed with Pekingese in Brooklyn, NY, who needs $2,000 for Hernia Surgery.

One day random day after a beautiful sister date, I met Riley. He was the only one of his kind. My brother likes to joke that I went into the pet shop and got the quietest dog. Riley does not like to bark. Riley has been a part of my family for 8 years. He has changed my families life for the better. He brought joy and love into my home.

Riley loves to sit at the table in hopes of finding food. Riley hates the heat and will plop on the grown on long walks. He always looks for the shade. Riley never barks, except if you have a treat and you ask him to bark. He loves treats. He is a happy and calm dog. The whole neighborhood knows Riley and loves him. When walking him people always call out his name to say hi.

Riley is a very special dog. He knows when i am sad. He will come and lay next to me and ill rub him and that will change my whole mood. Riley favorite thing to do is play fetch with a squeaky ball. except sometimes he takes the ball and he wants you to chase him. Riley is afraid of thunder and will run and hide under the bed and cry. He hates taking a bath but he loves being clean.

I came home and found Riley had threw up on floor and was crying out in pain. He isn't a vocal dog, so I took him to vet right away. The vet says he has a hernia, with partial bowel obstruction and will need surgery to repair it.

This is an unexpected and sudden expense. It breaks my heart that if I can't afford the surgery that I may lose my dog. I love him. He is family. He saved me and now I would like to save him. Thank you.
