About this campaign
Ringo happened into my life when someone I knew found him left behind in a foreclosed house he was working on. Ringo fell asleep in his lap to the song Octopus’s Garden by The Beatles, leading to his name. He was gifted to me complete with his current abandonment issues from his experience. He now lives with me only, and I work from home to accommodate his need for someone’s constant presence!
Currently in Ringo’s old age, he has gathered quite a few diagnosis: FIV, heart arrhythmia, heart disease, and early signs of dementia. He began treatments for his heart disease in February, needing multiple scans, ultrasounds, and heart monitors to study his vitals and give him treatment. He’s currently on 3 life long medications and is a regular patient at Mission Animal Hospital.
Ringo’s personality and gentle soul touches every life he meets - people, dogs and even hamsters. He is my best friend in the world and many people’s favorite cat. He will come when you call him, follows me from room to room and nightly he sleeps with his head in my hand and his paw on my forehead. He comes out with me to markets to meet people and make friends! He’s lovable to everyone he meets!
Ringo’s several diagnosis’s he has completely financially drained me, and I don’t regret a dollar I’ve spent, but I’m struggling to afford ongoing care. His medications alone cost me over 100 monthly and I have another senior cat who has ongoing health needs and monthly meds
