Rio followed me home on the evening of February 14th, 2006 from the apartment laundromat. Once it was established that was not chipped, I was driving home from the Vet and the Duran Duran's song "Rio" came on the radio. She became really close with my black cat Dante and they were best friends until the fall of 2017 when he passed away due to complications from diabetes. In 2011, we adopted a long-haired tabby, Attila. Rio is a daddy's girl and does not choose to be friendly with every human she encounters.
