About this campaign
Some stories are hard to hear—but they matter.
Ripley is now safe with US Dog Coalition and Rescue, but her journey here was anything but easy. After being accidentally run over by her owner, Ripley was rushed to an emergency vet. Her injuries were devastating—her leg was completely severed, left dragging behind her, with no feeling at all.
Unable to afford the life-saving care Ripley needed, her parent made the difficult decision to surrender her. From there, she ended up at a shelter, where we stepped in to give her a second chance.
Ripley has since undergone amputation surgery, and we’re relieved to share that she is recovering well. But her condition when she arrived told a deeper story. She was extremely underweight and so severely matted that she had to be fully shaved down just to begin her healing process.
Despite everything, Ripley is showing resilience every single day. She’s learning to move forward and beginning to understand that she is finally safe.
Now, she needs continued care, proper nutrition, and support as she adjusts to life on three legs.
Your donation will help cover Ripley’s medical expenses, rehabilitation, and the ongoing care she needs to truly thrive. Just as importantly, it helps us continue rescuing dogs like her who have nowhere else to turn.
If you’re able, please consider donating or sharing Ripley’s story. Together, we can give her the future she deserves.
5/30/26 Update
Thank you to everyone who supported Ripley on her long healing journey. She is doing amazingly well and has been adopted by her foster mom's son and lives with two non-furry siblings! It's amazing that not having her front legs doesn't seem to bother her. We really appreciate your love and care!
