Ripple is a 8 year old Mix-Breed in Wilmington , NC, who needs $2,000 for Fungus Treatment.

I rescued Ripple in September 2020, he was a scraggly boy with heart worms but he had my heart the moment I saw him at the shelter. I took him home, gave him oat baths and fed him well and soon enough his hair started growing in - I didn’t know he was a long hair dog when I adopted him! I got him healthy and he’s been by my side ever since. We thought the worst was behind us.

In April 2024, I noticed Ripple had yellow mucus from his right nostril. I took him to the Vet every other week, trying to figure out what was going on. Earlier this month, Ripple had a severe nose bleed that put him in the hospital at Eastern Carolina in Wilmington, NC. He was diagnosed with a fungal infection in his sinus. He’s had two surgeries and needs another one.

Ripple LOVES all toys, but doesn’t like to share, and would trade me for a piece of cheese. He is always up for a walk and loves a good dog park. He has become an emotional support to me and can always tell how I’m feeling. He greeted me with excitement when I redeployed after 9 months, he sat with me in bed while I healed from 3 foot surgeries and just knows when I need a hug.

I am being medically discharged from the military, losing my steady income and have already drained my savings with Ripples previous treatments. I can’t imagine a life without him so I’m willing to do anything to get him healthy again.
