Rocco has been in our family for over four years. He was a gift from a friend that rescued him and was fostering him until finding the right home. He was a puppy then and has lived most of his life with us. He loves going for walks, playing fetch, and spending time with the family.

Rocco broke his leg while protecting the family and property. He needs surgery at Marshall Veterinary Clinic. A stray pit bull came into our backyard and Rocco jumped off of a balcony to investigate. Fortunately, especially because we have young children, the pit bull was friendly. However, Rocco broke his leg and tore tendons that require surgery.

Rocco is special because of his love for the family. He is a tremendous guard dog but is kind to our kids. He just wants to be with us all the time. He doesn't like to swim but loves to put his legs in the water. He gets excited to go for walks or runs, and he loves to play fetch. He is also very smart besides his instinctual jump off a balcony to protect us from a potential threat.

We have already spent thousands of dollars on Rocco due to this injury and can't afford to spend thousands more for this necessary surgery. Surgery is required or he will be permanently lame. He can still have a good quality of life if this surgery occurs.
