Rocco is a 11 year old Golden Retriever in Lawrence, KS, who needs $2,000 for Mass Excision: Right Elbow.

We brought Rocco home as a 12 week old puppy a little over 11 years ago. He rode home on our then four year old son's lap and joined our family of six. Most of his human siblings have grown up and moved out on their own. Rocco lives at home with his now 15 year old human brother, a newly added puppy brother, and his human mom and dad. He is loved by many inside and outside of his home.

A lump on Rocco's elbow has recently grown hard and huge over a short amount of time. We were referred to Phoenix Veterinary Surgical Specialists in Overland Park, Ks. He was diagnosed with soft tissue sarcoma. It was determined that surgery to remove the mass would be required to save his life. Surgery is needed as soon as possible to prevent the cancer from spreading further into his body.

Rocco loves to be with his family. He is always at our feet while we sit and watch tv or lying under the table as we eat. He is vocal and howls when asked to speak. He tilts his head in the cutest way when being talked to. He lays his head on our lap and has the best puppy dog eyes that get him his way on most anything. Rocco smiles often. He loves raw carrots, walks and his family.

Surgery is estimated to cost $3400. Unfortunately, our income is limited as I am a teacher and my husband is on disability due to heart failure. We don't have savings and the vet requires full payment upon surgery completion. Thank you for helping us save Rocco.
