Rocket is a 1-year-old Australian Shepherd in Chicago, IL, who needs $2,000 for surgery.

Rocket came into our lives in June of 2021. He was 3 months when we bought him and he makes our family happy. He is an Australian shepherd and he is very energetic. He is the sweetest and nicest puppy I have ever met. When my husband bought him he bought my dream dog. He is apart of our family and we love him.

Rocket likes to go on walks and runs, he likes to play with our son, and he enjoys kids. He is a very sweet puppy and he loves to be with us all the time. Some days we will go on family walks and we also go hiking with him as well. He enjoys playing tug of war and he enjoys laying under the table as he waits for us to finish eating our food.

Our dog is special to us because he has made our family closer. We enjoy being with him and we love him. There’s no other dog that could replace the love we have for him. He loves to cuddle with us on our bed or our couch while we watch tv. Sometimes he bites our shoes and our furniture but we still love him.

In October we took rocket to a vet hospital because his foot was swollen, it appeared that he had a blood blister on his foot. The vet popped the blood blister and it kept bleeding, we took him back to the hospital and they told us his foot got infected. The day after we took him to a different clinic where they preformed a surgery. Rocket will need to see a specialist for his paw to get better.

We just got a new apartment and we have many expenses. We did not know our dog would get sick and we were not expecting it. When they told us at the hospital it was a blister we did not imagine having to spend more money on him.
