Rocky Balboa is a 6-year-old Chihuahua in Hickory Creek, TX, who needs $1,200 for dental extractions.

I adopted Rocky on Halloween day in 2015 at an adoption event at PetSmart. He was so tiny and was malnourished, but had a fighting spirit. He has four sisters, all rescues that he loves very much. It has been a struggle to find the money to buy their food and keep them healthy. I want to provide for their needs but am having difficulties at this time due to my current employment situation.

Rocky is such a character. He only weighs 5 pounds but acts as though he is a giant. He lives with his four housemates that he loves very much. They are a great comfort to me and a source of enjoyment. I live alone and don't know what I would do if I didn't have my fur babies in my life. They give me a reason to get out of bed, a reason for living.

My husband passed away in June of 2019. Six months later the pandemic hit, I have been unemployed since May of 2020 but am thankfully returning to work on July 5. My finances have suffered tremendously, including my mortgage. Having Rocky healthy would be one less burden.

Rocky has several teeth that need to be extracted to improve his health and well being. The worst tooth is a canine that is affecting his sinus and causes him to constantly have a runny nose due to the infection. I worry that if he doesn't get his teeth taken care of it will affect his health for the rest of his life He is currently under the care of Main Street Vet Clinic in Flower Mound TX.

Rocky has the spirit of a much larger dog and could never be convinced that is so small. He loves to play with his sisters' especially Cheyenne. They play for hours and bring me such joy. Rocky loves to bark at the squirrels in our yard, he also loves to try to catch butterflies. He's such a joy to have in my life.
