Rocky is an 11-year-old Chihuahua/Pit Bull mix in Fulton, KY, who needs $1,000 for steroids and pain medication.

This story is about my beloved fur baby Rocky Joe. He was a rescue but he'll never know that he rescued me. I was grieving the loss of my husband when I went on a call for a pit bull/man fight. That day began our lives and love we continue to share 10 years later. I'm positive that Rocky is knuckling and that is neurological. Please help us. Thank you.

Rocky is not a pet. He is family. He and my granddaughter are the same age He is very funny, loyal and sensitive. If his feelings get hurt he cries real tears and mama wipes them. The love we have for Rocky cannot be put into words. He is my best friend and maybe even my soulmate. Rocky gets along with and loves everyone. He never meets a stranger. He has a fur brother named Remy who he loves.

He is full of personality. He's a Chihuahua/Pit Bull mix and very unique. He is smart and a good listener. He's never hit me, made me cry, told my secrets and defines the word loyal. Rocky has been there for me when everyone else had to leave this world. I don't know what I'd do without him honestly and can't think about that without crying. He made my world okay to live in & absorbed my pain.

I am asking for suggestions and recommendations for a vet/hospital. Possibly UTM vet program? He's never missed his vet care or immunizations. He is very spoiled and taken care of properly. This condition began 4 weeks ago and is getting worse quickly. If he has degenerative myelopathy as suspected there is no cure just managing of symptoms. It is chronic and will lead to paralysis. He needs help.

My marriage ended abruptly and this is why I have financial need. It would mean the world to me to ease his pain and help him in every way possible. I'd give my own limbs to him if I could. He so enjoyed walking and playing. Now he can't stand alone and losing bladder control.
