Rocky is a 7-year-old Australian Shepherd in Haiku, HI, who needs $1,700 for Surgery, Biopsy.

Rocky came into my life four years ago when i started dating my boyfriend Aron. Rocky was their outdooor dog who enjoyed his life in yard with the Hawaiian sun & breeze! Over the years Rocky has been more deeply integrated into the family! He has become an indoor dog, even a sleep in the bed and on the couch dog! He has gone from throwing up every car ride to absolutely ADORING going in the car!

Rocky is just like another kid in the family so his human name is now Rick, or Ricolas, Ricky Smiths sometimes even! He loves to watch tv with his mom Cristina, sleep in his brother Daniels room every night on his couch and go on adventures to waterfalls with his other brother and sister Aron and Cassie! His favorite toy is a squeaker he ripped from a toy with one of Cassie’s scrunchies on it!

Mr Ricky Smiths is ALWAYS so excited to see us and his tail whips back and forth so fast! we also love that he thinks he is a lap dog so will always try and sit on your lap at 60 pounds! For all his life he has never jumped into a car until recently (he’s been picked up 😂) now we do a running start and Cassie runs and jumps in with him! Rocky loves to swim! Mostly in pools and calm waters.

In July Rocky had been extremely lethargic & straining to have a bowel movement & throwing up. We took him to the vet & he was running a high fever. We thought obstruction & took him to the vet. They did x rays, nothing. Gave him meds & he was acting better in a week, now he is sick again and has lost ten pounds, and ultrasound showed an obstruction and internal bleeding.

The vet needs to remove the obstruction , they will test it for cancer and this is the fourth vet visit in two months and we do not have the full support of the family so two people have been trying to pay for Rocky’s vet bills but this one is going to be so much.
