Rocky is a 2 year old Rat in Hudson, , who needs $10,000 for Diagnostics and Possible Surgery.

Rocky is my 2 year old pet rat that I adopted a year ago. He was originally purchased as food for a python, but Rocky was too big for the python to eat. I adopted him as soon as I saw him & since then, he’s been the perfect pet. He gets along with my other male pet rats & he’s never bitten anyone. He lives in very big cage, that is cleaned regularly & I use aspen bedding.

Yesterday, when I went to feed my rats, I saw Rocky & his eye was bulging & was very red. I started calling veterinary clinics. Later, last night, Rick’s eye looked like it was only blood & he appeared to be in a lot of pain. He needs more tests to determine if this is a severe infection or a tumor & may need surgery. He goes to Cedar Vet Clinic.

Rocky is the best rat I’ve ever had. He never bites & will let anyone pick him up & will fall asleep in your arms. Even my young kids can pick him up. He loves to sit on my lap & eat Cheerios. He’s a great pet.

I am out of work right now & am applying to companies every day. I’ve always been able to take care of my pets, I’m just in a tight spot right now. The testing & possible surgery could cost $1,000. Rocky is the best & we would be heartbroken if we can’t help him.
