Rocky is a 2-year-old Mixed Breed in Port Arthur , TX, who needs $150 for Full Exam.

Found: Corner of Tom Drive & Ridgewood in Port Arthur, TX. I saw him get up & hide under a car in our garage at 5:30am. He has a bad gash on his hind leg & other small wounds. He looks to be freshly groomed. Weighs around 12-18lbs. His safe space is inside a kennel, which I set up. He's eating & drinking fine but had diarrhea yesterday. I gave immodium. Very sweet boy, but scared.

He behaves fine around my 2 large female dogs and whines from inside his kennel like he wants to play with them. The kennel for has stayed open so he can come and go as he wants on the backyard but stays in the kennel until I can trick him into coming out so I can walk him to potty. He runs straight back in the kennel when I remove the leash. Also, he walks very well on leash.

He doesn't like being removed from his kennel & barks & growls if I try to pull him out with a leash so I put a treat outside the kennel & close the door when he goes for the treat. He hasn't been neutered. I will get more information after visiting the vet to scan for a microchip and have him examined.

He'll be seen by a vet today, if possible, or tomorrow. I don't know which vet he'll be seeing there. The gash on his hind leg needs care as he's limping and he's going to need to be vaccinated against parasites, get a heart worm test and fecal, complete exam, and any medications prescribed.

I'm currently unemployed due to physical health problems and cannot afford to pay for the care that will be necessary after seeing the vet. Every dollar counts so please either donate to help him.
