Rogie has been a member of our family since April 30th of last year. His previous mama needed to rehome him and his sister Rosie. I had recently lost my two cats Bunny and Sorin within 3 months of each other and was looking to fill that kitty shaped void when a friend from school told me about her friend who was moving. Previous mama and I talked, and I told her I’d take them. I hadn’t even seen a photo. I knew nothing but their names and ages. And that they were shelter bound without me. We’ve been together since. Last thanksgiving, Rogie managed to break his leg in such a way that it wasn’t save-able. He became a tripod and my snuggle companion all at once. Since he came home from his amputation, he’s slept with me every night, curled up on my arm, drooling happily.
