Rolly is a 7 year old Mix-Breed in Hayes, VA, who needs $2,000 for Rear Leg Amputation due to a Soft Tissue Sarcoma.

We adopted Rolly as a puppy from our local humane society. We are a family of 4 and he has been with us since he was adopted. Up until this point Rolly has had a typically healthy life.

Our vet is Animal Care of Gloucester. About a month ago a large mass appeared literally overnight on his hind leg. We made an appointment with the vet and we were informed that he has a soft tissue sarcoma. His blood work came back normal and the next step is x-rays of his chest to ensure it hasn't spread anywhere and amputate his leg. The vet stated this is aggressive but typically localized.

We have two children that picked him out at the humane society and they have grown up together. Despite being 7 years old he is full of energy and has the personality of a loving puppy.

The estimated cost of the surgery is $2300 and that does not include the x-ray that are still needed. We already paid $400 for the initial blood work and diagnosis. We like most families do not have an extra $2,500 to pay immediately since they predict that it is aggressive
