Roman isn’t “just a cat.”
He is my 4-year-old son Owen’s shadow, his nap buddy, his comfort when the world feels big.
Two days ago, Roman started vomiting and couldn’t keep food down. After rushing him to the emergency vet, we learned he has bladder stones and a urinary blockage, a condition that is life-threatening in cats if not treated immediately. Without surgery, he would not survive.
We have already spent over $1,700 just to get him stabilized, and the full estimate for surgery and hospitalization is $4,000+. I was approved for medical credit to keep him alive, but the interest alone will bury me if I have to carry this alone.
I’m a single mom doing everything I can, and I had to choose between debt and losing my son’s best friend. I chose Roman.
