About this campaign

I am a disabled BIPOC woman seeking help to pay off massive debt occurred from emergency pet surgery. My kitty Romeo is the most loving cat in the world. Unfortunately, he ate some palm leaves that got stuck in his bowels and was rushed to emergency surgery. Thankfully he survived surgery but due to the medical costs of roughly $6k, I am left unable to take care of other basic financial needs.

A few days ago, Romeo consumed multiple palm leaves that obstructed his small intestines. He was throwing up for a few days, but by the third day I knew something was seriously wrong. I rushed to Oak Vet in Oakland, CA in order to figure out what was wrong with him. They told me he needed surgery ASAP, and thankfully he survived and is sleeping next to me now.

Romeo is my guiding light. He is the sweetest most loving cat in the world. Honestly he saved my life during Covid when I was more isolated than ever. His purrs can be heard from a mile away, his nose is the cutest shade of pink, and his heart is bigger than his chubby belly. He can turn any dog person into a cat person

I'm unemployed and on disability. My finances are tight but I would eat ramen or even starve if it means keeping my pets happy and healthy. The surgery decimated all of my savings so I am really scared about further potential complications as this is Romeo's second surgery
