About this campaign

Ron had a close call with death! Lucky Lab Rescue and Adoption literally had the sweet black Lab mix pulled from the euthanasia room at a Texas shelter. He was minutes away from being killed just because the facility was crowded and needed to make space. "We are so glad our team of volunteers sprang into action because Ron is a gem," the rescue tells Waggle.
Once Ron got to Sunset Canyon Veterinary Clinic, Dr. Glenn Portie discovered the dog was missing several upper teeth, and that's what gives him that adorable "I forgot to put in my dentures " look.

The rescue is smitten with Ron's smile and his frosty face and paws. But Ron isn't just a good-looking senior gentleman; his foster mom tells Lucky Lab that he is a happy, loving boy who likes nothing better than to be cuddled and loved on. He will rub himself against you like a cat or just lay next to you with his head on your leg. He also loves to play with his stuffed toys, carrying them around and bringing them to his bed for safekeeping. This friendly fellow gets along great with other dogs of all sizes, meeting them calmly and politely.

Lucky Lab is a nonprofit rescue that takes on medical cases. Ron needs his teeth cleaned and fixed up, a lump removed, and a neuter. The nonprofit organization depends on donations to help pay for the care of the dogs. "We can't do it without people helping us," the rescue says. "We so appreciate everything Waggle and its community does. Thank you, Waggle!"

When Ron recovers from his surgery, he will be up for adoption in Texas, the Northern East Coast, and New England. The rescue thinks he will make one lucky family very happy!
