Roodie is a 10-year-old Dachshund in Kissimmee who needs $1,500 for Radiation therapy.

I have had Roodie since he was a puppy, I saw him at a mustang rescue as I was riding along with a large animal veterinarian to get the required hours to obtain my veterinary assistant certification. I saved up some money during a summer job and went back a week later because I couldn’t stop thinking about him, (it was only the cost of the neuter and vaccines) but at 17 that was a lot for me

Roodie has been a member of our family since the first day I got him, he’s never left my side. He enjoys going on kayak rides, trail rides, car rides, you name it. He loves just loves to go. Or he loves a lazy day inside cured up on me or anyone who has a blanket. He mostly naps all day curled up with his cousin cat named Mikey.

Roodie is a condisure of chasing lizards, and squirrels even though he is sorely outmatched. He really enjoys playing with his house mates and sleeping on the back of the couch behind your heal like a scarf. Or he will sleep next to you at night in the middle of your back slowly inching you out of your own bed. And believe me when I say its finders keepers, loosers weepers.

Roodie was diagnosed with transitional cell carcinoma, which is an aggressive form of cancer, however, it was caught ver early and with the help of chemo the cancer has not spread. Very soon we will be starting radiation which will help to shrink the tumor. But time is of the Essence, eventually the tumor will become resistant to the chemo.

I work full time and Iam a full time student as well as looking for a second job, my bills are paid and I can contribute but I cannot afford this on my own, I have a team of drs at three different hospitals that are working hard to help Roodie and helping where they can.
