About this campaign
Roper and I have been together since June 25, 2013, when I adopted him when he was just 10 weeks old. I was living in Bozeman, Montana, and had recently lost a companion dog and was in need of a replacement. I am fondest of the herding breeds, and when I was directed to him through a rescue site for Australian Shepherds to a shelter in Anaconda, Montana, Pintler Pets. It was there that he was adopted out of. The adoption fees were paid for by a organization in San Francisco called Vets Adopt Pets, run by Barbara Teasdale.
I should mention here I suffer from PTSD, chronic depression and often have anxiety attacks. I am 59, a USAF Veteran. I receive a $771.00 per month from Social Security Supplemental Insurance (SSI). I need my dog to perform the duties I have trained him for, especially away from our apartment. Without him able to perform his duties, it is effecting my life.
